Who We Are
Black Students in Business is a group of high achieving professional students who love business and are dedicated to the support and advancement of like minded black students at UIC’s school of business and professional studies.
Although we are tailored to the Black community, we invite people of all backgrounds and majors to join!
Our Mission
The mission of Black Students in Business (BSIB) is to support the diverse needs of the Black students pursuing a degree and career in business at UIC by:
Fostering a support network of mentors and advocates that engenders an atmosphere of connection and inclusion.
Working to address the financial burden of attaining a college degree.
Identifying and supporting recruitment and retention gaps through outreach initiatives.
Helping to ensure transparency and accountability of issues related to BIPOC students.
Establishing a community service footprint beyond the campus.
